What vinyl types can I cut with these files?
The output works with all vinyl types - adhesive vinyl (Oracal 651, 631), heat transfer vinyl (Siser EasyWeed, Stahls), reflective vinyl, etching vinyl, and specialty materials. Adjust the detail level based on material flexibility and blade sharpness.
How do I prepare files for contour cutting?
For print-then-cut workflows, our SVG provides the cut contour. Import it as a cut line layer in your RIP software or plotter software, register to your printed design, and the plotter will cut around the printed design precisely.
What is the minimum cut size for vinyl?
Most vinyl cutters can reliably cut details down to about 5mm (0.2 inches). Raise Edge smoothing to round off details smaller than your cutter can handle, preventing blade jams and torn vinyl during production.
Why is my design a solid silhouette?
Solid shapes cut and weed most reliably, so the converter starts with a silhouette. For interior detail, such as a face or a two-tone design, switch to Stencil or Outline on the result screen. Vinyl does not need bridges, because transfer tape holds the loose pieces, so you can untick Bridges on a stencil.
Can I use these for vehicle wraps?
Yes, the clean vector output works well for vehicle wrap design elements - logos, text, and graphic accents. For full vehicle wraps, you would typically use the vectors as design elements within a larger wrap template in your RIP software.
What blade settings should I use?
Blade settings depend on your material and cutter. For standard adhesive vinyl, use 60-80g force with a 45-degree blade. For HTV, increase force to 100-120g. Always run a test cut first. Our clean vector paths cut accurately at standard settings without needing extra passes.
